Simply Potty’s aim is to provide an environment for you to experience pottery or continue your pottery journey in a pleasant studio space. We hope to accommodate students on a more personal and friendly basis. Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions before you book your course or membership. By booking you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted them. Bookings and Payment A booking is only confirmed on receipt of full payment. If a booking needs to be cancelled an option to move the session date will be offered providing a minimum of 7 days notice is given. If emailing to cancel a booking, please do not assume this has been received until we have acknowledged it with a reply. Unfortunately, as a small independent business if an individual session needs to be cancelled for any reason with less than 7 days notice we will be unable to move of refund the session, however you are welcome to send a friend in your place. If you are booked onto a day course then you need to give 3 weeks notice in order to make a change of date. If you have signed up for a group 5 week course at Simply Potty that place is yours until you notify us of your intention to leave. If you want to give up your place, please give a minimum of 5 weeks notice to allow somebody else to be found to fill the slot.
Studio Closure If the studio is forced to close due to factors outside of our control such as severe weather conditions, force majeure, or an infectious disease we’re afraid we are not able to offer any refunds but will endeavour to reschedule your bookings for a later date.
Health and Safety Users of the studio do so at their own risk with awareness of the inherent hazards of a pottery studio environment.
Technical issues and breakages The nature of ceramics, especially within a teaching studio, there is always a risk of technical failure and breakages for which we cannot be held responsible.
Collection of Works We recommend you collect your finished work as soon as possible after your course or membership ends, to help keep our storage area clear and therefore avoiding damage. If finished ceramic work is not collected within 2 months of glaze firing, we will sadly have to dispose of it.
Studio Clean-up A good rule of thumb: When you are done it should be cleaner then when you started. No Exceptions please. If you don’t have time to clean up, then you don’t have time to make it!
Environment and Recycling We try to run as a limited waste studio. All materials are reused or recycled wherever possible. Please ensure that the correct bins are used when disposing of any materials.
Conduct and Exclusion Disruptive or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. Users of the studio and facilities are requested to be respectful and courteous at all times We reserve the right to exclude any offending parties from the studio and in this instance a refund will not be given.
Data Protection Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance with current GDPR regulations.
